You Are Not Alone

We are here to help you. We offer free, confidential support services to survivors of sexual violence ages 12 and older, their loved ones and friends, and professionals. We work with survivors regardless of when the violence occurred, and our goal is to empower survivors to heal.

You can reach our hotline by phone 24-7 at 800-841-8371 or web chat 9:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. If you, or someone you know, has been sexually assaulted within the last five days, you can take these immediate steps

If you are receiving or seeking services at BARCC and need accessibility information, please check out our accessibility page. If you still have questions, please call 617-492-8306 and ask for a client services access coordinator.

We welcome survivors of all genders and gender identities, including men and transgender and nonbinary people. We work with survivors of all races, religions, incomes, languages, abilities, ethnicities, and sexual orientations, and no matter their former or current engagement with sex work. We serve survivors regardless of immigration status. We will not report to law enforcement or any government officials any information we obtain, except in very limited legal circumstances (read more in our confidentiality policy).

We strive to create a healing space for survivors. Because a safer environment can be an important part of healing, BARCC is unable to work with anyone who has committed sexual violence themselves, even if they also experienced it. We recognize that all survivors deserve support—for survivors who have also perpetrated sexual violence, we will provide referrals to other agencies that may be better able to help.
