Careers at BARCC

Advocating for social change in a community of passionate individuals reminds me every day that it is possible to love your work and look forward to going into the office.

Since 1973, the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (BARCC) has been a leader in the movement to end sexual violence. BARCC empowers survivors of sexual violence to heal and provides education and advocacy for the social change needed to create cultures that prevent sexual violence. We rely on our dedicated, brilliant staff to do this important work, and our team is growing!

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

We are piloting a 32-hour workweek to let our staff take a day to recharge, refocus, and revitalize, which are all key to continuing to make a meaningful impact for survivors. See below for our current position openings.

BARCC is supported by roughly 40 staff members and over 250 dedicated volunteers. Many of our current staff started in this field by volunteering or interning at BARCC or another rape crisis center. Find out more about volunteering or interning with BARCC.

Thank you for your interest in working with BARCC!

We do not have any openings at this time, but we encourage you to revisit this page or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to stay up to date on future openings.
