3rd Annual Walk for Change!

***UPDATE***

THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who walked in the 3rd Annual Walk for Change on Sunday despite the cold, drizzle, and change in route! A special thank you to First Lady Diane Patrick, all of BARCC's volunteers, the Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville Women’s Commissions for their support, and to our many donors and community partners who made the day a huge success! Thank you all for your caring, generosity, and for all that you do to create change and make a better world.

Around 700 Walkers participated, and $76,164 raised!
Thank you, and our deepest appreciation and gratitude for your support.

The FirstGiving website is still up and accepting donations until June 30, so please keep the momentum going if you'd like! We're already keeping our fingers crossed for better weather next year. Thank you again to all who walked and to all who supported the truly inspiring individuals who walked.

Kick off Sexual Assault Awareness Month and join the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center for our 3rd Annual Walk for Change! on April 6th, 2008. We are honored to announce that First Lady Diane Patrick will be leading the way as our First Walker!

Walk for a friend. For someone in your family. For yourself. For all who are affected by sexual violence. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetimes. You can change the numbers by walking on April 6th.

This year's goal: 600 Walkers, $90,000 Raised - Every Step Makes a Difference!

Every step you walk and every dollar you raise makes it possible to live in a world without sexual violence. Join together and walk with community members, agencies, and schools; with survivors, their partners, friends, and families; with people who want and do make a difference - walk together and walk for change!

Our deepest appreciation to those who participated in the 2007 2nd Annual Walk and helped to make it such a success - thank you so much for your support and the 3rd Annual Walk would not have been possible without you!
