BARCC Legal Advocacy and Case Management:

Legal Advocacy

BARCC knows that numerous legal concerns can arise for a survivor as a result of sexual assault. In response to such concerns, legal advocates are available to help survivors and their significant others gain access to accurate information about their criminal and civil legal options. BARCC advocates will assist survivors age 12 and up in identifying legal issues stemming from the assault and exploring legal options. BARCC's legal advocates are here to help with criminal and civil legal issues, including filing a police report and applying for victim compensation. Services range from a brief consultation, to provision of referrals and resources, to comprehensive support and advocacy.

Case Management

BARCC also provides case management services to survivors and their significant others. BARCC case managers can assist survivors with housing and financial concerns stemming from a sexual assault.
