How to Apply to Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with BARCC. We accept volunteers and provide training at regular intervals throughout the year.

The next volunteer training will be held the week of  June 4, 2012.  The training will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. The information and interview sessions for this training will be held in May, 2012, at our Cambridge office. Exact dates will be announced in March, 2012.

To get started in one of our direct-service positions, please:

• complete our volunteer application and email it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address),
• Then .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to a mandatory information and interview session when the dates are announced in March. If you submit your application before the dates are know, we will e-mail you when we post them.

 

Attendance at one of our information and interview sessions is mandatory for anyone wishing to apply for a direct service position. These sessions are designed so that you can hear more about each of our programs and speak with BARCC staff and current volunteers. At the end of the meeting, you will be interviewed by a BARCC staff member or volunteer.

For non-direct service positions, please send a cover letter and resume. Cover letters should include the position you are applying for, availability (start/end dates, hours, days, etc.), supervision requirements (hours and credentials of supervisor needed) and information regarding your interest in the position.
