Current Support Groups

Healing the Heart, Healing the Body, Yoga
13-week yoga and trauma information group focusing on ways of healing and self care for sexual assault survivors. The group will consist of 5 group talking sessions and 8 yoga sessions. The talking sessions will take place at BARCC and the yoga sessions at a yoga studio. All experience levels are welcome and yoga equipment is provided.

Time Limited Group for Female Survivors of Sexual Abuse
12-week group for women who have experienced sexual trauma (including rape, sexual assault, stalking, incest, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment). This group focuses on the common reactions and feelings resulting from sexual violence, as well as how to cope with these feelings. Weekly topics include: Safety, Coping, Consent and Boundaries, Shame/Self-blame, Trust, Anger, Relationships and intimacy, Body-image, and Self-Care.

Trauma Information and Education Group
10-week group for women who want to understand trauma as well as talk and share about the effects of their trauma and how it continues to impact their lives today. Women with a wide range of sexual trauma experiences are welcome. Weekly topics include: What is trauma? Safety, Coping, Shame/Self-blame, Trust, Anger, Relationships, Body-image, and Self-Care.

Parents of Survivors Workshop
Time-limited workshop for parents whose children (of all ages, including adolescent and adult children) have experienced rape, sexual assault, incest, child sexual abuse, or other sexual trauma. This workshop provides an opportunity to understand and discuss trauma and its impact on parents' lives, their relationships with their children and with each other as a couple. The group will also explore effective coping strategies to help with the emotions that may come with being a parent of a survivor.
